Dr Emily Tayles is a skilled general practitioner (GP) who graduated from Monash University in 1999. She completed her training at Box Hill Hospital and Austin Hospital before obtaining her Fellowship in General Practice in 2006.
With over 16 years of experience as a local GP, Dr Emily Tayles has developed a particular interest in and gained valuable experience in the management of acne. Dr Tayles works closely with the dermatologists who consult at Northside Dermatology to provide easy access to specialised acne care.
Dr. Tayles prescribes all acne medications except oral vitamin A. She can help you explore all medical options, including prescription creams, antibiotics, anti-androgen tablets, and the latest AviClear laser, for long-term control of acne without medication. She may fast-track you to see a dermatologist for specialist-only prescriptions.
Please note: Northside Dermatology operates as a facility supporting dermatologists and skin GPs. While the clinic handles administrative tasks like scheduling and billing, doctors independently manage their patients and clinical decisions. This setup establishes a contractor relationship, where doctors are not employees but partners in providing healthcare services. Additionally, doctors have the autonomy to choose their working days, times, and fees, and they may also offer their services at other locations. Patients have the right to access their clinical notes and discuss the most suitable location for consultations or treatments with their doctor.
