At Northside Dermatology, our preferred microneedling device is the Dermapen 4. During a microneedling treatment, the Dermapen 4’s 16 needles create minuscule punctures in the dermal layer of the skin. This activates the body’s natural healing mechanism which, in turn, leads to higher collagen and elastin production. There is no dragging or pulling of the skin, minimal discomfort during treatment, and little or no downtime after a session.
