Dermatology Fees

The doctors who consult at Northside Dermatology offer expert care across medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Most procedures require an initial consultation to assess your needs and develop a tailored treatment plan.  Fees vary by provider and appointment type. Medicare rebates are available for eligible medical services with a valid referral. Cosmetic consultations do not attract a rebate.

Consultation

• Initial consult dermatologist (one concern $350, two concerns $390, long consult >25 mins or gynae derm $450) ($84.15 rebate with a valid referral )
• Review consult dermatologist (one concern $310, two concerns $350, long consult >25 mins or gynae derm $410, skin check/biologics/hair $330)  ($42.30 rebate with a valid referral )
• Consult nurse/dermal clinician for acne/acne scarring/rosacea/pigmentation: complimentary (no prescriptions).  
• Consult a nurse for cosmetic injectables: complimentary 
• Consult a dermal clinician for non-prescription skin care and rejuvenation: complimentary

Phototherapy

• The treatment is bulk-billed with a valid Medicare card.
• Initial and review consultations will incur a consultation fee.

Medical procedures

• Biopsy $170  ($50.60 rebate)
• Biopsy special $210 (genital, scalp, mucosa, cosmetic shave excision $50.60 rebate)
• Cryotherapy for more than 10 lesions $95 ($38.25 rebate for cryotherapy of premalignant lesions>10, no rebate applicable for benign lesions)
• Skin cancer procedures $550 – $990 out of pocket, depending on the exact procedure, size, number of lesions, site, complexity, method of repair and individual doctor.

Acne scar treatment

Including subcision, TCA CROSS, CO2 resurfacing, RF resurfacing, punch elevation, excision, cortisone injections, and dermal filler. Please see the cosmetic dermatologist who consults with us for an assessment, recommendation, treatment planning, and an accurate quote.  Consultation fees apply.

Laser & energy procedures (medical and cosmetic indications)

• Surgical scar laser resurfacing $600 – $800 per session
• Vascular laser/pigment laser $290  – $890
• Laser genesis $350 – $590
• RF resurfacing $590, $750 with TCA CROSS
• 1927nm thulium laser resurfacing $719 – $1500 depending on treatment intensity 
• CO2 laser resurfacing $790 – $4500, depending on intensity, the area treated, and the clinicians performing the procedure
• Photodynamic therapy $599, $990 – $1990 in combination with CO2 laser
• Peel/steam, extraction/diathermy & LED $239
• Ultraformer HIFU skin tightening $419 – $2819
• Microneedling – $180-$290
• AviClear laser $890 per session
• HydraFacial $290 per session
• Trusculpt iD fat reduction/skin tightening $300 per handpiece
